These are plain-language terms, written to be read rather than skimmed. By using hidetext.sh, you agree to them.

The service

hidetext.sh lets you share text, files, code, and QR codes through private links. Content is encrypted in your browser before it reaches us — we cannot read what you share. The service is free and provided as-is.

Your content is your responsibility

Because everything is end-to-end encrypted, we cannot see, review, or moderate what passes through hidetext.sh. That cuts both ways: your privacy is protected, and you alone are responsible for what you share. By creating a link, you confirm that you have the right to share its content and that it doesn't violate these terms or any applicable law.

What you may not use hidetext.sh for

• Content that sexually exploits or endangers minors. Zero tolerance — reported links are deleted immediately and we cooperate fully with law enforcement.
• Distributing malware, viruses, or phishing content, or using links to defraud or deceive.
• Harassment, threats, or publishing someone's private information to intimidate them.
• Sharing content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
• Anything else that is illegal under applicable law.
• Attacking the service itself: attempting to breach other users' content, bypassing rate limits or expiry mechanisms, scraping, or disrupting the infrastructure.

Removal and enforcement

We can't read content, but we can delete any paste or file by its link. If something violating these terms is reported to us — email [email protected] with the full link — we may remove it without notice. We may also block access or discontinue any feature at any time to protect the service or comply with the law.

No guarantees

hidetext.sh is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. In particular:

• Links expire, burn after reading, or can be deleted — by design. A lost link means the content is unrecoverable, by us or anyone else.
• Do not use hidetext.sh as the only copy of anything important.
• We may change, suspend, or shut down the service or any feature at any time.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost content, missed deliveries, downtime, or any damages arising from your use of a free service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Age

You must be at least 16 years old to use hidetext.sh.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Meaningful changes will be noted in the changelog. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
